Let’s Go To Vegas!!

So…remember my pictures from Palm Springs (if you read my post yesterday…it shouldn’t be that hard to remember!)? Well, from there, we drove to Las Vegas for only one fun evening! But, we had such a great time!

Here’s a taste of what we saw…and what we tasted.

Pretty blue skies

Windmills across the desert

We drove past all of those famous windmills in the desert…and all of the famous outlet malls too! But I didn’t take a picture of those…

Ut-Oh...here we come!!

See that group on the left?? Well they’re gathered under the sign watching a couple get married! We drove by just as the couple kissed! Viva Las Vegas!

Hey look! m&m World!!

Apparently m&m World is the place to be. Almost everybody I saw had a shiny yellow souvenir bag from there!

The Bellagio

Ok. Here we are! This was just so exciting to see! And then we spent a lovely evening there…

Grilled salmon, tomato chutney, and broccolini in the Bellagio.

Dinner in the Bellagio was SO amazing! I enjoyed a glass of white wine and chose one of their healthy options: the grilled salmon and broccolini! It was just fabulous!

It's still Christmas in the Bellagio! Giant soldiers, ornaments, and a tree!

I’m so glad they still had all of their Christmas displays up! I couldn’t capture it in my picture, but there was a giant polar bear in the display too! Too cool.

After wandering around and around, I finally found it! My grandma said I just HAD to see the chocolate fountain and all of the French pastries! And oh boy, did I ever.

Beautiful brioche pastries in the Bellagio.

Yup…

Pastries galore in the Bellagio.

Yeah…

My first Pinkberry! Tart coconut frozen yogurt, white chocolate and dark chocolate crunch, and pomegranates.

And then, on the way back to our hotel (we stayed in New York New York), I had my first Pinkberry!! I loved it!! My honey was so sweet to me and stopped everywhere I wanted to stop and he was just so excited to show me around.

We spent the rest of the evening gambling and having a fun time…and then went to bed way too early because we had a flight that was way too early…

An airport lifesaver! Starbucks oatmeal with lots of cinnamon, and a bit of the nuts and dried fruit toppings (only a little from each packet is perfect!).

And if you’re ever in a pinch in an airport and in need of a healthy breakfast, hit up Starbucks! You can get the oatmeal, plain, and control your toppings! I used the cinnamon shaker they had out for coffee and used it all over my oats. Then, I used one of the Stevia packets I always have in my purse (emergencies, you know) for some sweetness. Just perfect…except that it was 5am.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my trip! Once again, thank you for letting me have a nice vacation and being patient about my lack of posting! I appreciate all of my readers and am so excited to see what 2013 will bring!

Happy New Year!

  1. I have never been to vegas but boy do the pictures look like a blast.

  2. I really should go to the Bellagio again soon. There displays are always so fun. Tell me more about that Pinkberry. It looks divine. Was it in Bellagio or NY NY or somewhere in between?

    • Melissa says:

Yes! Ok so Pinkberry was located on the walk between NY NY and the Bellagio, specifically in front of the Mandarin Oriental (on the corner of the Crystals shopping center). Warning, it is pretty pricey but everything is in Vegas, so I made sure to get the smallest size :)

  3. Glad you enjoyed your trip – it looks like you had a blast! I LOVE me some Vegas – so much so that my husband and I got married at Casear’s Palace in April 2004 (which means in a year from now we can go back for our 10th wedding anniversary!).
