Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake Batter Truffles

July 6, 2012 by Melissa

Instead of a traditional birthday cake this year, I decided to make my brother some cake batter truffles! These are super simple to make, come together quickly, and taste amazing. They’re very rich, so I find that I can actually be satisfied with eating less of them than actual cake…but don’t blame me when you try to gobble up the whole batch!
Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake Batter Truffles
1 cup Sugar-Free Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake mix*
¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
chocolate sprinkles, for rolling
*I used this Pillsbury mix because it was a healthier option for my brother’s cake truffles, but use the cake mix that you find most appropriate for your dietary needs
~Mix together the cake mix and the sweetened condensed milk. It will be very very thick and feel hard to completely mix together. This is necessary or else your truffles won’t hold their shape! After it is well mixed, use a teaspoon to divide out the dough and roll it into small balls. Roll each ball in the chocolate sprinkles. Serve and enjoy!

I still haven’t tried cake balls. I need to hop on that bandwagon.
