This month, my Foodie Penpal was Esther! She was lucky enough to live near a Trader Joe’s and have the same deep-rooted love for the store that I have. So, of course she would head straight there after our conversations about food. I love everything she found for me! Thank you so much Esther!!

 LaraBar: Cashew Cookie – This bar reminded me that I hadn’t made homemade LaraBars in awhile! Time to get back to that!

LUNA Bar: S’Mores – I am a LUNA Bar addict and I thought I’d eaten all of the flavors, but I honestly think I hadn’t had this one yet. It tastes just like grahams, chocolate, and those mini marshmallows you can find in hot chocolate mixes. So good!
Trader Joe’s: Raspberry Fruit Bar – I haven’t eaten this bar yet but it looks great! I love TJ’s fruit leathers so this is perfect for me.
Trader Joe’s: Sweet, Savory and Tart Trek Mix – This mix is so perfect. It is a perfect mix of peanuts, almonds, golden raisins (which are my favorite kind of raisin), craisins, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips. Yes, it’s extremely hot out and mine arrived in a state of melty-ness, but I threw it immediately into the fridge to save it! I actually love that the melting turned it into chunky pieces of nuts, fruit, and chocolate. I’m going to be so sad when this mix is gone (soon). When faced with trail mixes, I think it’s important to note that the mix is high in calories, so measuring out a ¼ cup portion and put the bag away.
Trader Joe’s: Pomegranate White Tea – This tea is amazing! It’s so light and refreshing and makes me love drinking hot tea even when it’s 100 degrees outside. I keep meaning to make a big batch for iced tea, but I can’t stop drinking it as soon as it is brewed. Whoops.
Amazing Grass: Green Superfood Chocolate – I haven’t used this packet yet, but that’s only because I get really scared when there’s only one to use and so many ways to use it! I don’t want to wish I could have used it in a different way! I know you’re supposed to drink it but I’m pretty sure I’m going to stir it into my oatmeal. Yes, chocolate oatmeal is one of my favorite things.
I sent my package to a non-blogger, so I can’t link you to what I sent her. In fact, she never emailed me to tell me she even got the package, so I’ve been left wondering…
